Ingredients
- 2 lb ground beef – extra lean (that’s what was in the freezer)
- 1-2 cups water
- 2 pints tomato sauce
- 1 T tomato paste
- 2.5 T chili powder
- 2 t cumin
- 1 t garlic powder
- 1 T salt
- 1 t black pepper
- 1 cube chicken bouillon (beef might be better , but we didn’t have any)
- 1 cup onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, finely dices
Instructions
- Add beef to large pot.
- Cover with water.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Cover and simmer about 40 minutes or until thick.
- Serve as a chili dog or have as a bowl with sour cream and diced onion or diced scallion.
