I love making my own plain yoghurt. It doesn’t have any fillers, additives or thickeners. It’s inexpensive and it’s pretty easy. You don’t need a yoghurt maker, but I found one at the thrift shop for very little investment and have the room to store it. It makes the yoghurt in cute little glass, reusable jars.
Ingredients
- 4 cups cow milk (I’ve tried this with skim milk, raw milk, whole, milk – all worked fine)
- 1 T live culture yoghurt
Instructions
- Heat the milk to 180° F
- Cool to about 110° F
- Dissolve the yoghurt culture into about 1/4 c of the warm milk
- Add the dissolved culture back into the warm milk

- Refrigerate
